Samick mini . . .

I don't really know what to say about this one. Its a small guitar, just for fun. You can really play on it and it even sounds nice. Only pushing up with the short snares is a bit difficult. Before you know it, you are up three or four tones.
Because the neck is shorter, the top comb is actually in the place where you would normally find the fifth fret, I put a set of 010 snares on it, with the B-snare first, the G-snare second etc. For the fat E I bought a 056. By doing this the guitar is in normal tune, with a normal snare tension.

Samick is a long time builder of guitars, copy's, but now a days with a very good qaulity. This mini strat is proof of that. The body is of multiplex, but the neck is very nicely made of Maple. Ofcourse the frets are a bit too close together, but the neck plays very well.

The body of multiplex has all the contours of a strat, but is much smaller. The two elements are switched on with a three way switch. The bridge element sounds thin, the neck element does not really sound bad, as well as the combination switch.

The head of the guitar is somewhat smaller then of a normal strat. The tuning techniques which were on there originally were not to be tuned, so I had them replaced with a set of Schallers.
